We are looking for a split role of a Certified Medical Assistant and Personal Services Representative at our College Place Clinic at Walla Walla University.

What You will Own and Improve in this Role

• Scheduling of patient appointments on the phone or in person
• Notify providers of patient’s arrival and keep patients informed and comfortable
• Verify all demographics and insurance information with the patient during the check in process
• Obtain eligibility and/or prior authorizations for the patients when necessary
• Assisting the provider during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Contributing to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care

What you Bring to Your Position

• Written and verbal communication skills to interact with patients and clinical staff
• Attention to detail and the ability to ask for help when needed
• The ability to confidently multi-task in a fast paced office
• Desire to advocate for the patient
• Protection of patient rights and confidentiality of all patient information

To Be Successful

You will be successful in this position if you know how to scan documents, use Microsoft Outlook, operate a multi-line phone system and have an affinity for accurate typing. You must also have graduated high school or have your GED and at least 1 year of training/experience in a medical office setting. A valid Washington State Certified Medical Assistant license is required and at least 1 year experience in the role.
