Clinical Nurse Liaison Job at CHG Healthcare

Responsibilities:
- Review and investigate clinical issues that occur while our healthcare professionals are on assignments
- Refer appropriate complex clinical issues to manager for review, discussion and resolution
- Review and discuss all risk management issues with manager and determine appropriate action steps needed. (CEU’s, counsel, restrictions, termination)
- Act as a liaison between recruiting/sales managers and the clients to assess potential drops, if appropriate
- Assist in maintaining compliance of the division’s candidate qualifying process and credentialing standards
- Participate in the incident/malpractice claims reporting process with CHG Risk Management
- Responsible for monitoring competency testing including specialty specific tests, orientation tests, and hospital required tests
- Welcome calls to first time travelers to RNN and introduce role as a clinical nurse resource
- Contributes to ongoing process improvements that promote the division’s delivery of healthcare services
- Participate in monthly quality review meetings with division’s senior management
- Responsible for maintaining state licenses, as division requires to conduct business
- Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of required industry standards: JCAHO, Federal, and State
- Assist with the preparation of JCAHO and client facility surveys/audits
- Assist in developing and maintaining performance improvement initiatives required for JCAHO certification
- Assist in completing and delivering annual performance reviews for travelers
- Other duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Professional level of written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills, including good public speaking skills
- Excellent follow-up and follow through
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Experience working in a highly collaborative team environment
- Registered RN
- Knowledge of recruitment and placement process in healthcare staffing industry
- Experience working as RN in an acute care setting
