Biotrial, a leading provider of high-quality pharmacology services, is seeking a Clinical Trials Recruiter to be responsible for recruiting and enrolling healthy volunteers in clinical studies with the required number of participants timely available.This is a full-time position eligible for benefits. Proficient in English and Spanish, preferred.

The Clinical Trials Recruiter is responsible for recruiting and enrolling healthy volunteers in clinical studies to ensure that studies have the required number of participants available at the right time. Responsibilities also include assisting with screening-related activities to ensure subjects are eligible to participate. This position will work in Biotrial’s Clinical Pharmaceutical Unit and U.S. headquarters in Newark, New Jersey.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Conduct the different steps for the Healthy Volunteer Recruiter:

- Database set-up: conduct warm calling and answer incoming calls for data base entry.

- Ensure the regulatory follow-up (IRB authorization) for the initiation of any recruitment action.

- Drafting of the pre-screening, and study specific restrictions - submitted to the IRBs in collaboration with the investigator.

- Pre-screen and contact prospective subjects to determine eligibility for clinical trial participation, using protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria.

- Schedule screening appointments using the data base.

- Conduct various recruitment tasks to ensure the completion of the study recruitment.

- Support and participate in the advertising campaigns related to the Healthy Volunteer Recruiter.

- Drafting the communication texts and advertisements (general or study specific), submit to the I.R.B in collaboration with the investigator.

- Help organize internet/ radio/ newspaper advertisement campaigns.

- Perform statistical analysis of the advertising activities.

- Help select and coordinate vendors.

- Monitor renewal of general recruitment campaigns and optimization of the communication types.

- Conduct outreach promotion activities to improve healthy volunteers / patient recruitment.

- Other tasks related to the Clinical Pharmacology Unit.

- Draft and follow the healthy volunteers’ compensation fees charts.

- Develop a high level of familiarity and knowledge of the study protocol and flow chart of study procedures. Implement study procedures in compliance with accepted research guidelines including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and the study protocol.

- Work to ensure that studies are delivered according to Sponsor requirements on time and to high quality.

- Ensure that work remains in compliance with regulatory guidelines, safety requirements, quality control standards and the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures.

- Work collaboratively with co-workers.

Education and Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree in scientific/administrative field preferred or 3 years’ relevant job experience in volunteer recruitment.

- 2 years’ administrative assistant, community outreach and/or customer relations position a plus.

- Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Access and Excel.

- Ability to work independently, efficiently and accurately with high productivity.

- Good interpersonal skills and creative thinker.

- Bilingual English/Spanish oral and written skills.

- Knowledgeable of clinical research process a plus, but not required.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

- Ability to work independently, efficiently and accurately with high productivity.

- Experience in meeting strict timelines.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communications and telephone etiquette skills.

- Creative thinker.

Experience: Three-five years recruitment experience in clinical research preferred or proven successful recruitment experience in human resources, community outreach or customer relations.
