CMO/District SUBSTITUTE TEACHER - Grades PK-12

NPFE seeks CMO/District substitute teachers to provide daily instruction to students throughout our network schools. CMO/District subs will receive assignments on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis within New Paradigm For Education schools These are full time benefits eligible staff members who will receive training in our curriculum and instructional model - a great opportunity for someone interested in beginning a career in education! They will be expected to maintain a solid classroom environment, build relationships with students and staff, and deliver academic instruction.

Job Requirements

• Must have completed at least 60 college credit hours
• Prior classroom experience or experience tutoring or supporting students is highly preferred

• Follow lesson plans grounded in our curriculum, regularly incorporating constructive feedback
• Keep and use up-to-date data to monitor student progress and drive instructional choices
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria
• Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan, record assignments and data as needed
• For long-term assignments: develop lesson plans and assignments consistent with the regular teacher’s past lesson plans
• Other ancillary duties as needed or assigned
