Commercial Analyst Job at Novocure
The Commercial Analyst will establish and maintain excellence within our Veeva Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) and will lead the customer relationship with the extended regional commercial team. The commercial analyst will also be instrumental in sharing best practices with our global commercial analytics and insights team. As part of our Commercial Analytics team, the commercial analyst will support operations through training, data and system stewardship, and the generation of analytics and insights for our commercial team. The Commercial Analyst will also make meaningful contributions to our data science and BI/Reporting endeavors to improve the customer experiences and salesforce effectiveness. This position supports a dynamic global organization in the oncology therapeutic area.
This is Field-Based, Exempt position, reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Science and Advanced Analytics, Global Business Effectiveness and the ideal candidate will live be in a commuteable distance to the Boston Metro area for intermittent internal meetings at the Boston office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish deep relationships with key commercial stakeholders, function as the regional SME for our CRM and commercial analytics; developing deep knowledge of the local commercial needs and regulatory environment. Help develop accurate, complete requirements, and transform these potentially complex business "asks" into value- add business (system and process) solutions/capabilities
- Serve as primary technical and operational expert for the Veeva Commercial ecosystem and related commercial systems; Provide support to colleagues in various functional areas, including the commercial and medical teams
- Use knowledge of the respective systems to answer questions, provide support, and ensure quality and adoption
- Will function both locally in assigned geography, as well as globally in supporting the generation and promulgation of best CRM and analytics best practices
- Contribute to the development of commercial CRM and insights plans/roadmaps, utilize inputs from various sources (vendor metrics/KPIs, Field Surveys, and business unit contacts), and the measurement (KPIs) for these plans
- Develop insights on customer experience using CRM data and advanced analytics
- Provide ad hoc reporting for customer management and operations
- Collaborate with data science team and commercial teams to drive business performance through thoughtful analysis of CRM data in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as all other applicable laws and regulations, e.g. HIPAA and GDPR
- Collaborate with, support and contribute to the larger data analytics needs of the group, including regression, prediction, classification, NLP, visualization and reporting
- Willing to travel as needed 20-30%, may include international destinations
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, statistics, economics, data science, business analytics, etc.
- Commercial Analyst
- 0-3 years of experience with CRM (Veeva/Salesforce preferred), Field Sales reporting, Master data management, and commercial analytics
- Education or experience with data manipulation, statistics, regression, classification, and other modeling techniques
- Experience with or interesting in learning R for data analytics
- Exceptional collaboration skills with a drive toward inclusion, comfortable working in matrix environment
- Must have a positive “can do” attitude
- Flexible toward change can accept change to achieve objectives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
OTHER:
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Travel to other Novocure domestic and international locations as needed (20%)
