The primary functions of this position are to provide oversight and management of team members as they provide hospitality, handle cash, practice safe and sanity food handling, responsibly serve alcohol and general follow all BayCare Ballpark F&B policies and procedures. The Stand Lead ensures that the P.O.S. system is working properly and takes action to correct problems when needed
Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to: pre-event setup, event day operations and event specific closing/ check-out.
- Have complete knowledge of all menu items, production specs, ingredients, cooking times and presentations
- Conduct pre-event setup including counting of inventory, turning on equipment, verifying warehouse requisitions, setting stanchions and back of house spaces (where/ when appropriate)
- Verify all opening and ending inventory counts
- Conduct/ complete end of the night walk-throughs to ensure all inventory is secured and all spaces reflect proper sanitation and appearance standards
- Investigates discrepancies in monies and inventories with supervisors
- Ensures staff completes daily temperature logs
- Responsible for making sure the staff uses correct portions when preparing and serving items on the line
- Ability to motivate staff to complete job responsibilities in a professional way
Specific Qualifications/Abilities
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be a minimum 18 years of age
- 1-2 years’ experience in a leadership role working in a fast-paced hospitality environment preferred
- Basic math skills required; ability to accurately handle money and count change
- Must be able to able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Must be willing and able take and pass required Food & Beverage training classes including safe food handling and alcohol service
- Strong attention to detail
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy
- Strong communication skills
- Works well with others; establishing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow workers and supervisors
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs
- Flexible schedule – We prefer candidates that are able to work 90% of all monthly events; ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
