Coordinator of Faith Formation for Youth Job at Archdiocese of Boston
The Plainville-Wrentham Catholic Collaborative is seeking a Coordinator of Faith Formation for Youth (grade 7 through high school) to start in June 2023. This coordinator is part of the Pastoral Team which serves St. Martha Parish and St. Mary Parish in the Archdiocese of Boston. This position requires an average of 18 hours per week for ten months each year.
Successful applicants will have experience in ministry with youth, Catholic evangelization, and/or education, bringing an enthusiastic, prayerful spirit to this important ministry. An understanding of central Catholic teachings is required; more extensive training in ministry or theology is a plus. Responsibilities include leading the evangelization of our youth by example and catechesis, developing our Faith Formation programs for middle school and Confirmation, and providing formation for our adult catechists and youth ministry team in matters of Faith and best practices. Participating in a team environment, including staff meetings and collaboration with others on the Pastoral Team, is essential to our comprehensive program of lifelong faith formation. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate skills in leadership and spiritual companionship, as well as an appreciation of the relationship of the New Evangelization and catechesis in the Church today. This position requires pastoral sensitivity and ability to interact well with clergy, lay ministers (adults and teens), and the public.
