CPA firm - Tax Accountant Job at Dowell Group, LLP
This position is for an experienced CPA with tax return preparation skills for multiple entities. Specific experience will be particularly helpful in the areas of individual income taxation, trusts and estates taxation, foundations, and corporate taxation. A solid grounding in general accounting skills will also be beneficial in preparing adjusted trial balances, as well as in communicating and assisting clients and their controllers. Good communication skills are important in dealing with individual clients and their advisors. We deal with some high net worth clients, so understanding strategies and needs of these clients is important. Four or five years of experience with a CPA firm or law firm will likely be the minimum amount of experience that we can consider.
This is also a position that can be adapted to part-time needs. We have a history of adapting to the best talent available. If we find an ideal candidate who can needs part-time work, we will make the necessary modifications. We would rather have the best talent available, for whatever time they have available.
We will also adapt to an ideal candidate who has remote working needs. In fact, for many years before the pandemic our firm operated with a remote working policy that enabled every member to work one day a week remotely. We have permanently expanded the general remote working policy since the pandemic began. We also have several staff members who are fully remote.
We have had a presence in the Chicago suburban accounting market for three decades. In addition to the work we do with high net worth individuals, our major strengths include the services provided by our business services group, which provides audit, tax, and outsourced accounting services. Our individual clients reside throughout the U.S.. Our business clients are predominantly in the Chicago area, but we also have clients with locations throughout the U.S.
