As the leader responsible for our kitchen and back of house operations, you will uphold the highest standards in food quality, safety, sanitation, and service. While the majority of your time will be dedicated to ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently, you will also keep your eye on the big picture, setting goals, creating budgets, and facilitating partnerships with external partners, vendors, and your fellow leaders. You will inspire our team with big-picture goals and give them the plans, tools, and skills they need to reach them. You will examine systems and processes to ensure they are as efficient as they can be and work to anticipate the company’s needs.

As Culinary Director of Operations, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Back of house and kitchen operations, including:
  • Mastering all knowledge and skills of every back-of-house position in the restaurant
  • Managing kitchen resources and inventory
  • Developing and implementing an operational plan
  • Ensuring procedures are properly carried out
  • Regularly evaluating organizational efficiency, identifying weak spots, and making necessary changes to maximize staff productivity
  • Preparing and maintaining quality, food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards
  • Planning and monitoring day-to-day operations
  • Monitoring the efficiency of business procedures using LEAN

Thinking and acting strategically to support the needs of the business, including:

  • Setting strategic annual operational goals
  • Reviewing financial Information and creating budgets
  • Managing relationships with external partners and vendors
  • Connecting regularly with all leaders to guarantee excellence in communication for all initiatives related to the operations of the business
  • Being a good steward of the business, which means protecting our culture and looking for ways to maximize our investment

Facilitating the team member and guest experience, including:

  • Giving performance reviews and daily feedback to team members and leaders
  • Assisting HR in sourcing, hiring, and managing talent
  • Facilitating training sessions at quarterly team member Development Days
  • Training team members and developing kitchen leaders
  • Overseeing guest experience from a food preparation perspective and ensuring that each guest receives food that meets the company’s high standards


Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in business or hospitality
  • 3 years of experience as a leader of food service operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite products

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age upon hire date
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a source of reliable transportation and commit to arriving on time for your assigned shifts
  • Works outside in hot and cold elements, noisy and fast paced environment
  • Must be able to respond to changes or edits to orders quickly and efficiently
  • Must be able to work Monday through Saturday 5:00am-11:30pm with flexible start times
  • Be available to work on Saturdays and extended hours during holidays
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. (in the event that you need to move inventory, help unload a truck, etc.)
  • Have a high-school education or equivalent
  • Be able to stand for the duration of a shift and have the stamina to work 40-50 hours per week


In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day.
