POSITION: Custodial Manager/Supervisor
Job Description: The custodial manager is responsible for the supervision of all district custodians as well as the cleanliness, appearance and working environment for 1 million square ft of academic buildings.
Annual Salary: $62,500 to $75,000 ( Based on experience )
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in the area of custodial services.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of Preventive Maintenance Programs.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, School Dude, and MUNIS.
- Supervisory experience with both union and non-union environment(s).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Reports to: Director of Facilities
Responsibilities:
- Oversees, manages, and evaluates custodians;
- Oversees and directs the custodial staff through the prioritization and scheduling to ensure responsiveness and consistency to district needs;
- Provides regular communication with school principals;
- Responsible for hiring, training, retaining staff, and motivating subordinates;
- Develops and schedules employee safety and associated training programs;
- Conducts periodic building inspections to ensure that standards are being maintained;
- Assists with day-to-day scheduling of all facilities related operations;
- Work irregular hours to assist with events and respond to emergency situations (as needed);
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
Terms of Employment: Unaffiliated, year round, 40 hours per week.
