Job Description – Customer Service Associate

We are looking for the right person to join our team for our growing mail/shipping center and gift shop in Defiance. Our store offers a fun neighborhood environment in a great location. We need someone with exciptional customer service skills and the willingness to learn the shipping world, who can also hit the ground running.

Responsibilities and Duties
Job tasks and responsibilities include:

• Greeting walk-in customers and handle customer inquiries by phone and email. Use PC Synergy PostalMate and Cashmate software to ship packages for USPS, FedEx, And UPS Pack customer shipments, including creating custom packing solutions Scan, FAX, Email documents. Handle mailbox customer mail and packages Rent new mailboxes Keep store clean and organized Order supplies and inventory Help shop for and pick out fun greeting cards and gifts Assist with social media posts and promotions Notary Public duties (existing, or willing to get) Eventually open and close the store.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Qualifications and Skills
Skills/Experience:

• Familiar with PostalMate and CashMate Software Computer proficient and fast typist Experience with printing/scanning, copying, faxing Comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel Good English/communication skills - verbal and written

These skills/experience are a plus:

• Graphic design Writing, editing Photography and photo editing
