We have exciting opportunities open for Customer Service Representatives based in Fort Smith, AR or the NW Region of AR with the ability to work remote.
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide quality customer service by satisfying a broad array of customer needs, responding to questions, resolving complex issues, and perform a wide variety of other customer-related functions via phone, email, chat, and social media. This position is also required to assess and respond to gas emergency calls.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create great outcomes for our customers by assessing their needs and providing them with information about gas service, billing, account balances, and payment information.
- Educate customers on programs and service options offered including budget billing, payment plans, and energy efficiency programs.
- Resolve customer issues while utilizing industry leading contact center tools and SAP customer information system and applications.
- Assist residential and commercial customers starting, stopping, or transferring service.
- Evaluate credit history and collects deposits if applicable.
- Perform account maintenance and customer profile changes.
- Process Landlord Property Agreements.
- Initial service orders (meter sets, exchanges, unlocks, final and initial orders, emergency orders and other service-related work orders).
- Stay certified in Natural Gas Occupational Qualifications (OQ) training.
- Perform other duties to assist the organization as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
- Support your colleagues and team to maintain our positive, friendly, service-minded culture.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- College degree preferred
- High school diploma/GED required
- Contact center experience or comparable business experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Application of analytical, reasoning and negotiating skills
- Capacity to be courteous, tactful and exercise patience in dealing with customers, the general public and interfacing departments under difficult circumstances
- Ability to recognize potential problems and, respond, prioritize, document, take corrective action
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
- Adept at learning new computer programs and industry related information
- Application of basic accounting knowledge
- Excellent verbal communications skills
- Excellent attention to detail
