About the role:

As Customs Specialist you ensure NITRO groupwide compliance with Customs and Export Control rules and regulations. You will act as a central point of contact in Customs and Trade compliance matters for various internal stakeholders as well as Customs and Foreign Trade Authorities. You will report to the Group Tax Manager – NITRO Division.

We need your expertise for:

• Administrating Customs and Export Control licenses in the assigned locations, following-up administration and renewing of licenses
• Ensuring up-to-date AEO documentation and procedures and compliance with NITRO strategy;
• Handling Customs and Foreign Trade audits in the assigned locations
• Preparing working instructions for internal departments, external agents, logistics service providers, and subcontractors
• Actively monitoring legal developments, informing the organization, and implementing changes
• Offering expert support in case of procurement and supply chain issues regarding Customs and Export Control matters
• Management of the Preferential Origin Process (calculation, legal support, monitoring)
• Expert support in specific day-to-day import and export transactions
• Supporting the organisation regarding commodity codes

About you:

You hold a Bachelor degree in business administration (or equivalent education), and customs specialist certification or similar post-graduate qualification.

You already have at least 6 years of experience in Customs and Export Control matters.

To succeed in this role, you should have a good knowledge of company structure, processes, policies, and procedures.

You are also a master in using the SAP system, and you know the basics of VAT.

You have a strong customer focus while doing things with good communication skills, and you will be able to manage effectively in a multicultural context.

Finally, fluency in written and spoken French and English are necessary in this role.
