Texoma Community Center (TCC) is one of 39 Texas Community Centers, which are governmental entities as defined by Title 7 of the Texas Health and Safety Code.

• Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing therapeutic training/programming by means of scheduled activities (i.e. formal/informal training, assistance with utilization of typical integration activities) in order for individuals to achieve and/or maintain independence in a community integration setting. This position is also responsible for completing meaningful and progressive training modules that is driven by Person Centered, Employment First and Day Habilitation philosophies for desired individua outcomes as prescribed by Case Managers in a community setting. Completes group and individualized fee-per-services in the community and Day Habilitation building, including but not limited to transportation, CFC PAS/HAB, Independent Living Skills training and Day Habilitation in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Texoma Community Center. Operates under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care which align with CCBHC standards.

• 
  Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/ or addiction issues desirable

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working with individuals with mental and developmental disabilities highly desirable
  • Must be physically able to, with assistance, lift, transfer, change undergarments, and bathe adult clients as needed
  • Consistently practices Trauma-informed Model of Care, understands and considers the pervasive nature of trauma
  • The knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds
