Our Day Programs are designed to meet the unique social, emotional, and educational needs of individual adults with a wide range of disabilities. At the same time, each of our day programs provides a safe, secure, and stimulating environment where adults with disabilities can learn, grow, nurture relationships with their peers, and actively participate in the community around them.

Responsibilities can include: -Present and maintain a positive professional demeanor at all times.-Participate in all client activities.-Assist individuals with medications or treatments dispensed to clients.-Be familiar with and implement client plans (teach skills and coping techniques).-Drive van or bus to assist in transportation of clients, and assist individuals on and off buses and vans as needed.-Assist clients with mobility issues.-Complete daily documentation according to program guidelines.-Assist clients in menu development and meal preparation as part of a training program.-Assist clients with personal care needs as required.-Follow all procedures, policies and guidelines of North Valley Services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all procedures, policies and guidelines of North Valley Services.
• Present and maintain a positive professional demeanor at all times.
• Complete daily documentation according to program guidelines.
• Assist in transportation of clients as needed or directed.
• Be familiar with and implement client plans (teach skills and coping techniques)
• Assist clients with their individual personal needs as required.
• Meet the physical requirements of the job.

MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in behavioral situations as they arise.
• Fill in for other programs as needed.
• Participate in training as required to meet mandated Continuing Education Credit requirements.

PHYSICAL DUTIES:

• May have prolonged sitting.
• May have prolonged standing
• May have prolonged use of the computer.
• May have prolonged use of the phone
• May lift up to 30 pounds
• May have to assist in lifting clients.

STANDARDS FOR MEASURING PERFORMANCE:

• Effectiveness in performing the duties and responsibilities as described above.
• Ability to function as part of the North Valley Services team.
• Ability to present and maintain a positive image.
• Ability to effectively implement individual client plans.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
