Diana's Playpen Of Little Geniuses in Chicago, IL is looking for one daycare food manager to join our team. We are located on 6236 S Western Ave. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working.
Responsibilities
The Daycare Kitchen Staff (Food Manager) at Diana’s Playpen of Little Geniuses The food handler must have a good attention to detail and strong organizational skills. We have a Food warming Kitchen, so primarily it is mostly prepping. The Daycare Kitchen staff will also be acting as Support staff at Diana’s Playpen of Little Geniuses, who is responsible for any support tasks delegated by the management of the school.
Qualifications
A food handler/manager must meet the following qualifications:

*The ability to prepare food, handle and serve food, in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. *The ability to understand and comply with Center policies relating to food service and employment policies. *The ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, children, and parents. *Ability to plan and organize meals for various classrooms, dietary and medical restrictions *Inventory management – dating food stored and discarding food after recommended storage protocols * Ability to cut, chop, dice and puree fruits and other foods as required by the various age groups *Delivering food on time to all classrooms *Documenting process flow, meal plan, and other related workflows *Ability to understand and analyze data and excel worksheets for meal planning * The ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies. *Willing to wear all the protective gear always as required by Food Handling regulations

Preferred Qualifications: *

• Childcare and/or daycare experience
• Food Manager Certificate from recognized institution
• Food Manager Certificate from City of Chicago
• Familiarity with HACCP Practices
• An offer of employment may be made contingent on the following:
• A current physical examination by a physician
• A current Food Safety Manager Certificate (Approved by City of Chicago)
• A DCFS background check
• High School Diploma

Job Type: Part-time

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $15.00 - $17.00/hour.
