Decision Support Analyst Job at State of South Carolina
The Decision Support Analyst will support the Office of Planning, Analytics and Decision-support to field increased demand for internal and external decision-support, business intelligence reporting.
A high school diploma and professional experience involving the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of quantified data. A bachelor's degree in statistics may be substituted for the required work experience. A valid driver’s license and safe driving history are required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics.
Knowledge of the methods of research design, data collection, data manipulation, and data analysis. Ability to analyze and interpret data using various statistical and mathematical techniques. Ability to predict trends and future action based on the analysis of collected information. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, analytic and data modeling approaches required to answer key questions for decision making. Demonstrated ability to prepare and present charts, tables, and interactive visualizations with the narrative to explain it.. Expert knowledge of Access, Excel, Power BI, and Ellucian Banner. Ability to work effectively with university personnel as well as personnel in other constituent agencies.
