General responsibilities but not limited to,
1. Arrive to the warehouse on time in the morning and be prepared to load your designated truck.
2. Inspect designated truck properly and fill out pre-trip inspection form. Notify on duty supervisor of truck maintenance issues or problems.
3. Load staged orders assigned to your route in a safe and efficient manner by utilizing hand dolly and pallet jack. Must verify that that product is secured in place for travel.
4. Complete deliveries accurately and on-time to meet customer needs and satisfaction.
5. Call dispatch for problematic orders, discrepancies, customer request/complaints, work injury, truck maintenance issues or problems.
6. Reconcile invoices before submitting them to the on duty supervisor.
7. Complete post-trip inspection of truck and fill out post-trip inspection form. Notify on duty supervisor of immediate or future needed repairs.
Must be able to lift cases of wine weighing but not limited to 45lbs and for the duration of the delivery route.
Position requires mandatory overtime during busy times of business.
Must have a valid "C" class driver's license or greater.
Elective 9 month review with potential wage increase.
Must be able to pass Physical DOT exam.
Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report. All applicant's that are being considered for the position will have their Motor Vehicle Report verified as acceptable upon hire.
Other work experience and skills preferred,
At least one year of delivery route driving experience.
Knowledge and Navigation experience of the City of Chicago and surrounding area.
Previous experience delivering alcoholic goods.
Team player that works well with peers and management.
Customer service oriented.
Keeps call off's to a bare minimum and request personal time off 30 days in advance to their supervisor.
