We are currently recruiting a Part Time Dental Assistant.

Premier is unique in its quality of medical, dental, mental health, rehabilitation, and specialty care provided to people with disabilities and their families. With medical professionals and physicians affiliated with major hospitals in the New York metropolitan area, Premier has wheelchair accessible practices located in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens.

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Serve as dentist’s chair-side assistant.
• Prepare operatory for patient treatment.
• Develop dental radiographs and performs independent procedures as delegated and directed by the dentist in accordance with state regulations and law.
• Maintain dental department equipment and work areas in compliance with health center policies and procedures relative to infection control and safety issues, including the sterilization of all reusable dental instruments and equipment and the proper disposal of all contaminated or potentially contaminated materials.
• Maintain adequate operatory supplies and compiles a list for inventory control and ordering purposes.
• Assist with various clinical and administrative functions of the center as appropriate and as time permits.
• Be cognizant of the expectations and concerns of the health center’s dental patients and be able to respond in an empathetic and professional manner.

Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)

• Education requirements - certified/registered Dental Assistant

Preferred Qualification Requirements (_desired requirements beyond MQRs above)_

• Experience - preferred, but not required (we can definitely work with someone who wants to learn)

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
