Dental Collection Representative – Altamonte Springs, Florida

As a Dental Collection Representative, you will be contacting and consulting with patients and/or their families who have outstanding dental bills. You'll consult directly with our customers to identify reasons for late payments and set up payment plans that are mutually agreeable. Your ability to communicate, persuade and convey payment urgency is critical to the overall success of our company. Your work will not only impact the bottom line, but it will also make a difference in the lives of our customers, greatly reducing their financial burden.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Reviews accounts for accuracy of patient responsibility and possible source of payments

· Contacts customers through phone calls, letters, and emails to resolve outstanding balances.

· Obtains financial agreements or negotiates settlement discounts on potential balance payoff within stated level of authority and guidelines limits.

· Identify discrepancies, perform research, and analyze account accordingly.

· Documents all pertinent patient communication or relevant information into the computer or on manual forms.

· Submit account adjustments for review and approval as needed.

· Review and works A/R to prevent aging of accounts and reduce overall aging of invoices > 90 days old.

· Communicate with ancillary departments when accounts need correction.

· Prepare and submit reports to internal management on status of outstanding bills.

· Demonstrate good customer service skills.

· Manage Inbound calls, and make Outbound calls

· Processing of credit card payments or electronic checks transactions in secured system.

Compensation & Benefits:

· Starting hourly wage of $17.00/hour

· Generous Bonus Plan based on collection performance (avg monthly bonus $780/month)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Excellent attitude and willingness to work – we will train you if you are willing to work hard

· Customer Service or Collections experience is a plus

· Bilingual (Spanish/English)

· Experience with Quickbooks and/or Dentrix Practice Management software
