Experienced Diesel Technician
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair house owned and customer vehicles
- Minor fabrication when required
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance
- Inspections; oil changes; Chassis lubrication and identifying worn and damaged parts.
Inspections to be performed at multiple locations which could include inclement weather at times.
- Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing inclement weather procedures
- Corrects light repairs and vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling components, parts, or systems, such as, electrical, brake, steering, hydraulics; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, wheel ends, brake adjustments, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
- Keeps shop Service Trucks and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.

What We’re Looking For
- Journeyman level technician with the ability to work unsupervised
- High School Diploma or its equivalent required
- Desire to learn and accel into a career in diesel repair
- Must have A valid drivers license
- Ability to understand and adhere to Company Policies in all areas
- Must have a basic set of hand tools up to 1 ½”and ½ drive pneumatics
- Mechanical inspection tools
