Direct Care - Day Program Shift Job at Ability Beyond Disability (NY)
Position location: Chappaqua, NY (Westchester County- right off of the Saw Mill River Parkway)
Pay rate: $17/hour and $2000 sign on bonus
Hours: M-F, 8:30am-4pm
Our Adult Day Habilitation Program is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our team! Opportunities available in Site Based or Community Based (WOW/ Without Walls) programs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Passion for helping others
- No experience needed!
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals in a classroom setting.
- Integrate individuals into the community to participate in recreational, leisure, and/or volunteer activities.
- Role model socialization skills for individuals.
- Assist individuals with daily living such as personal care.
- Transport individuals to and from day program and/or recreational outings.
- Help individuals achieve their goals based on their preferences and abilities.
