SUMMARY OF POSITION

Leader, thinker, collaborator. We’re looking for a talented brand strategist to help lead strategy for electrified vehicles on the Hyundai team. Hyundai has a wide range of award-winning all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles that are leading the charge in the industry.


We are looking for a strategist who loves understanding what makes customers tick and is excited about the category. You’ll be working with a team of talented, insight-obsessed planners, analysts, and brand leaders.


Responsibilities include commissioning and designing research, analyzing consumer/product/category data (qual and quant), and crafting briefs and plans for our creative team in order to promote Hyundai electrified vehicles across all media channels. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in brand strategy. An understanding and passion for the automotive industry and alternative fuel vehicles is a big plus.


Ultimately, your work will help guide brand messages that are impactful, memorable, and strengthen the brand across all channels.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the strategic success of Hyundai’s current and future electrified products (IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, IONIQ 7), and the broader scope of the brand’s EV messaging. Your mission is dedicated to increasing brand awareness, fostering brand love, and driving consideration
  • Gathering fresh insights from first- and third-party data, consumer psychographics/behaviors/motivations, and culture in order to develop powerful, single-minded creative briefs for creatives and beyond
  • Helping to build go-to-market plans for new vehicles and brand campaigns
  • The Brand Strategy Director is a visible and trusted face of strategy
    • Be a valued partner to the internal account team in the discovery and planning of solutions to business challenges
    • Build rapport and become a trusted partner throughout the agency
    • Be a go-to strategic partner, audience, and brand expert for clients
    • Deliver strategy presentations where storytelling is at the core
  • Assess the performance of the brand and effectiveness of campaigns via brand health and campaign tracking tools/partners
  • Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities and challenges
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of culture, continually bringing new insights, references, and ways of thinking to the organization

JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • 7+ years experience as a Brand Strategist or similar role in Marketing/Advertising
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Portfolio of brand-building projects is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
  • Proven thought-leader among agency and clients
  • Insatiable cultural and ethnographic curiosity
  • Data-driven – Proven ability to design, commission, analyze both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Communication, writing, and presentation skills
