About the Club
Founded in 2022, One Knoxville SC is a professional soccer club competing in USL League One. 2023 will be One Knoxville’s first fully professional season. The Club is focused on building a civically-minded professional sporting brand by connecting community outreach, civic pride, and competitive soccer. One Knoxville will look to approach ticketing from a unique angle. The Club aspires to generate interest through strong brand-building, storytelling, and unique soccer programming. We will rely on scalable, tech-based solutions to drive toward our attendance goals while recognizing the importance of all ticket inventories with a heavy emphasis on group ticket sales and relationship building for retention purposes.
One Knoxville will be playing its 2023 season at Regal Soccer Stadium on the campus of the University of Tennessee - capacity 3,000. By 2025, One Knoxville will be playing in Knoxville’s new downtown stadium in the Old City neighborhood which will seat 7,000 with 12 suites and 2 party decks.
Director of Ticketing
- Lead all aspects of Club Ticketing including…
- Database building
- Campaign construction and execution
- Group sales campaign construction and execution
- Inventory management and monitoring
- Report directly to Drew McKenna, Managing Partner
- Manage assigned group of employees by assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training while planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Lead on team and individual sales goals, monitor daily, weekly and monthly results
- Build and foster relationships with past, current and potential new clients
- Create and develop comprehensive proposals and presentations to meet clients’ objectives
- Develop annual budgets for all outbound sales revenue areas
- Responsible for the short and long-term sales objectives and action plans, sales goals and oversees the effectiveness of those plans toward meeting the overall goals.
- Assist in development and implementation of season ticket sales plans designed to meet annual goals
- Develop policies and procedures for the ticket and group sales staff
- Represent the organization at in-house facility events and off-site community events promoting ticket sales and the organization
- Coordinate with other departments to organize and implement large theme nights
- Build and strengthen relationships with corporate partners, the media, the fans and the community
- Performance goal: Achieve 85% season capacity (2,550 guests in 3,000 seat venue) with an annual retention rate (renewal percentage) of 85% or greater
- Non-financial goal: Construct a community-based program to include representation from Knoxville’s underserved neighborhoods at all One Knox home games while leveraging said relationships for unsold tickets at lower attended matches
- Other duties may be assigned
Game Day Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Corporate Sales department
- Assist with client and fan entertainment as needed
- Assist with promotional execution as needed
- Assist other departments when necessary
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum two years experience in professional or collegiate ticketing
- Experience constructing and implementing with web-based CRM specific to ticketing
- Availability to work nights and weekends including all One Knoxville event dates
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing, Marketing or related field preferred
- At least two years of prior management and leadership experience preferred
- At least two years of managing budgets
- Prior experience with ticketing software preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to solve problems quickly
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Remote work not feasible
