Summary:
Under the direction of the Terminal Manager, Dispatchers shall be skilled in the use of the site specific dispatch system, Fuels Manager Defense (FMD) Dispatch Module and Business System Management-Enterprise (BSM-E)/Enterprise Business system (EBS). Those skills shall include the use of the real time dispatch system, the manipulation data within the Fuels Manager system and related fuel management modules and status boards system. The dispatcher shall have the capability to analyze hardware / software related problems to maintain accurate input flow, data retrieval, and output validity. In addition, dispatcher shall be knowledgeable in standard use of radio communications, instructions / regulations pertaining to fueling and defueling of government and civilian aircraft, and government forms used to document aircraft fuel servicing.
Via hand-held radio dispatch truck drivers. Perform administrative role by answering phones, filing the appropriate paperwork, monitoring driver progress and processing orders.
They must demonstrate familiarity with the layout of the base and outlying fields as well as the airfield and aircraft parking areas and restriction applicable to servicing aircraft within those areas. Individuals acting as dispatchers maybe called upon to service aircraft on occasion and shall be capable to communicate in English, both orally and writing.
Requirements:- Ability to logon, shutdown, initiate modems, manipulate files, install applications, send and receive e-mails, and to use web browsers to send and receive information.
- The use of Microsoft standard office products of Word, Excel, and Power Point, and other commercial off the shelf applications and utilities to ensure that daily fuel operations are conducted in an effective and efficient manner
- Familiar with, and experienced in Department of Defense (DOD) or commercial petroleum operations and concepts to include conventional aviation fuel servicing procedures.
- Knowledgeable of petroleum system inspection and maintenance practices and capable to identify and mitigate potentially hazardous situations.
- Capable to participate in extensive operational and safety training associated with hazardous material and equipment handling.
- Working familiarity with Fuels Manager Fuels Control Center User Manual –Navy edition.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable base accesses/clearances as required by DLA.
- Knowledgeable of radio communications, instructions/regulations pertaining to fueling and defueling of Government and civilian aircraft, and Government forms used to document aircraft fuel servicing
- Demonstrate familiarity with the layout of the base and outlying fields as well as the airfield and aircraft parking areas and restrictions applicable to servicing aircraft within those areas.
- Highly prefer candidates able to obtain and maintain a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with all pertinent Hazardous Material endorsements as prescribed by the Department of Transportation (DOT) preferred.
