SUMMARY: The Underground Manager is responsible for project management and preparing proposals, developing, and executing work plans, staying within time and materials budget, supervising and directing employees, and carrying out all activities such as investigations, inspections, installations, maintenance, repairing sewer lines and mains, and other requirements.

• Management of underground crew, including hiring, training, oversight, performance management & reviews.
• Inspect, construct, install, maintain, and repair sewer lines, mains & sewer collection systems.
• Perform water tank and line flushing.
• Safe operations, use, and maintenance of tools, vehicles, large equipment and machinery as job duties require such as: line cameras, flow meters, pumps, pipe saws, chainsaws, concrete saws, backhoe, loader, bulldozer, forklift and dump truck.
• Ensure safety policies, procedures and protocols are followed.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in sewer construction, installation, maintenance & repair
• 3+ years of crew management

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively with co-workers
• Successfully pass a criminal background check & drug screen
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Outlook
• Project management skills
• Familiarity with CIPP
• Extensive knowledge of the methods and practices required to investigate, construct, install, maintain, and repair sewer lines, mains, & sewer collection systems.
