Pay Banding Information:

Actual pay will be based on experience and qualifications, but is expected to be in the range of $43K - $64k.


POSITION PURPOSE/STATEMENT

Deliver on University Credit Union’s CHAMPION Values to engage in behaviors that create member and team member loyalty. Responsible for contributing to the team’s overall success by achieving negotiated service activity and quality goals through the identification of process and program enhancements designed to satisfy member needs. Responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative activities related to the origination and servicing of consumer loan activities, particularly auto loans. Analyzes and prioritizes between multiple tasks daily to ensure service levels and quality metrics are achieved.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Responsible for processing and completing all required DMV paperwork to ensure that the credit union receives perfected auto loan titles in a timely manner.

  • Records information and ensures data quality in multiple record keeping systems including but not limited to Dealertrack.
  • Serves as an authority on vehicle tax and registration rules by geography, keeping abreast of changes as they are announced and communicating them to the team in a timely manner.
  • Submits files to DMV to secured collateral and takes steps to reduce member penalties and fees as well as assist members with title and registration related problems.
  • Review DMV reports to identify outstanding titles and contacts member or dealers to perfect the titles as well as review reports that require lien releases for paid off secured loans.
  • Manages the remittance of all GAP, MBP and claims. Serves as a touch point for the member and all claims.
  • Explains DMV policies and procedures to members and team members.
  • Prepares and requests on all paid off auto loans, the release of the title within 14 days of payoff.
  • Assist insurance companies and members when loss and/or damage has occurred to the collateral securing the members vehicle loan.
  • Submits UCC filings for specific loan types.
  • Maintains working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services area to include (but not limited to): BSA reporting requirements, OFAC, USA Patriot ACT, Red Flags, Regulation CC, Regulation D, Regulation E, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, Privacy, etc.
  • Participates in testing of new and updated forms and processes.
  • Assists with special projects as needed.
  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.


Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relations with Credit Union personnel and with management.

  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Actively supports UCU core values, mission and vision statements, and demonstrates commitment to member service and UCU organizational success.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.

Requirements:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Previous DMV processing experience required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Computer proficiency
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.
