Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Addiction, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology or a related field
- OR 1 year of experience as a drug and alcohol prevention specialist
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI Clearance Completed through the Department of Human Services
Description
Pennsylvania Counseling Services (PCS) is seeking a full time Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist to join the Pottsville Team!
In this position you would be working with the Schuylkill County schools providing education on drug and alcohol addiction.
Main job duties would include:
- Working with the school to provide preventative education on drug and alcohol addiction, gambling, fetal alcohol syndrome, pregnancy and the reduction of youth access to tobacco/nicotine and vaping
- Provide psycho-education groups for the students in a classroom setting
- Make recommendations for educational resources as needed
This is a full time position based out of the Schuylkill County office with travel to the local area schools to provide services. EOE
