Early Intervention Educator/Developmental Services Provider Job at Infant & Toddler Connection of Virginia
Rewarding position providing developmental education services to children
from birth to age three with developmental delays and disabilities and their
parents/caregivers. Position is responsible for coaching caregivers in developmentally
appropriate play and learning strategies that will help children reach developmental
goals. Job duties also include providing developmental assessments and participating on
multidisciplinary teams with other professionals to ensure successful completion of
developmental outcomes. Services are provided in the child’s natural environment as
listed in the Individualized Family Service Plan. Documentation and services are provided
in compliance with federal and state early intervention guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications: This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a broad knowledge of
child development and experience documenting service delivery. A minimum of two
years’ experience working with children birth to age five is required. Experience working
with children with disabilities and working with children in their natural environments is
strongly preferred. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and Licensure in one of the following:
Teaching degree in PreK-3, NK-4, PreK-6, or endorsement in special education birth-5,
Music Therapy, Licensure in Counseling or as a Family and Consumer Sciences
Professional. Valid VA driver’s license and auto insurance with good driving record
required.
