Your Role: What you'll be doing

As an Electrical Engineer you will be managing the current and/or future hardware designs ULA vehicles. Responsibilities may include:
  • Becoming the Certified Responsible Engineer (CRE) for avionics components or systems
  • Responsibilities may align to some or all the below:
    • Guidance & Navigation
    • RF
    • Electrical Power
    • Instrumentation
    • Flight Controls
    • Electrical Component
    • Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
    • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
    • Labs & Simulation
    • Test Tooling
    • Communications
    • Wire Harness & Integration
  • Developing and/or managing requirements, including functional, physical, and environmental test
  • Performing Software and hardware data review
  • Working with internal and external customers to support production and launch site needs
  • Working to address, troubleshoot, and resolve issues or failures
  • Supporting integration of components on to the vehicle
  • Supporting procurement / contracts /process improvements to minimize costs
  • Performing and documenting out-of-family analyses
  • Resolving issues that occur during launch site testing that relate to hardware
  • Supporting reviews related to systems and components

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of experience.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, coordination and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team or as an individual contributor
  • Self-motivated to manage and close on assignments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Available to work launch-related issues outside of business hours and available to travel
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance if required.

Summary Salary Range (Colorado Only)

$63,471 - $99,192

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.

Additionally, most salaried ULA team members work a “9/80 schedule,” meaning they enjoy every other Friday off.
