Electrical Estimator Job at BRS

We are seeking a talented Electrical Estimator to join the SES Civil and Environmental LLC (SCE) team, a subsidiary of SGC. We are currently seeking a results-driven team player with the ability to manage a heavy bid list. This position will collaborate closely with the executive/marketing teams in both East/West coast operations to develop winning proposals! To be successful in this position you will be self-motivated and have a competitive edge.
Leadership opportunities include management of staff, nationwide estimating experience with a general contractor, and coordinating with team members nationwide. In addition to these great opportunities, you will be assisting in the calculation of material quantity requirements, gathering, and preparation of routine estimating data, and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates! Responsibilities

  • Must be able to prepare complete itemized conceptual estimates in support of negotiated opportunities for both medical and government clients
  • Deals with owners and contractors to resolve technical and/or value engineering matters during the negotiation and contract execution
  • Analyze contractual documents and contract modifications to determine the scope of work and scope changes
  • Prepares weekly bid calendar and ensures timely completion of estimates
  • Reviews bid opportunities and outline the pros and cons of going after each project for a go/no-go decision
  • Reviews bid opportunity documents (RFP, Plans, and Specs) to identify critical trades where market bids are needed to bid on the project
  • Annually review bid day spreadsheet for cost revisions
  • Assist with the development of estimating procedures and guidelines
Qualifications

  • Outstanding knowledge of planning, scheduling, hiring, budgeting, and job costing
  • Deep knowledge of commercial construction materials and methods
  • Strong management, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to perform difficult and complex estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry
  • Ability to work with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Ability to look at any construction project and break down the entire project into the required individual components (studs, nails, electrical boxes, breakers, control points, registers, rebar, steel structure, etc.)
Compensation

$120,000 - $140,000 yearly
