Equipment Process Operator Job at Harrison Gypsum, LLC
Arcosa Specialty Materials is searching for a Process Operator for our Mooreland, OK plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Process Operator, you will revolve around continuous batch operations while monitoring multiple systems within the production process through computer automation. This job starts out at $19 per hour.
Arcosa Specialty Material is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural, aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.
Description Summary
Responsibilities revolve around continuous batch operations while monitoring multiple systems within the production process through computer automation. The operator will conduct regular walkarounds in their area while producing materials to strict quality standards. This job requires the ability to work under the guidance of leadership to perform various assigned duties in a timely manner with their team. The applicant should be able to notice a deviation from a standard process flow and be able to engage their team to take corrective measures and adjustments as needed from management to make the finest quality gypsum materials all while adhering to company polices and safety guidelines.
- Responsible for the efficient and safe use of all process equipment.
- Operates an overhead crane to move materials in the process areas.
- Performs quality checks; test semi-finished materials to company specifications; maintain multiple mobile asset such as loaders, forklifts, and manlifts; Water testing
- Performs basic weekly preventative maintenance on various process equipment.
- Notifies supervisors of issues that could disrupt a process as soon as possible.
- Continually monitor process equipment and testing to ensure continuous production and quality materials.
- Follows all policies and procedures; wears the proper protective safety equipment.
- Sweep, shovel, scrape, and pickup; Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Follows all safety culture guidelines and participate in the continuous improvement of safety within the company’s growth.
- Technical skills, with a demonstrated aptitude to acquire greater skills.
- Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a very fast paced production environment.
- Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as manuals and labels. Ability to fill out all paperwork associated with job.
- Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Forklift, Manlift, & Loader experience not required, but preferred
- Basic computer skills
