Extrusion Operator Job at Crescent Brands
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for working in a rotation in the Extrusion department including but not limited to stretching, operating a saw, and packing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Team works in unison.
- Rotate jobs every 2 hours in areas qualified to perform safely.
- Safely operate the billet saw.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderly work area.
- Immediately notifies involved personnel of defects or questionable concerns related to product quality or standards.
- Assure good, clean, tight corners when joining.
- Monitor quality at all phases of production.
- Flexible ability to work under pressure in all functions.
- Maintain records/reports as needed.
- Must work assigned hours including mandatory overtime when necessary.
- Perform other duties as required
Job Skills
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Consistently use arms and upper torso to handle material.
- Lifting requirements up to 50+ lbs.
- Good attendance record.
- Successful completion of training period which includes learning all positions.
- 3 week training program (training two weeks, evaluation 1 week).
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Take responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to read measurements, understand and follow instructions/SOP’s.
