1st shift, no weekends!

GenMet will train motivated individuals on everything needed to become great fabricators and valued members of our team. The ideal candidate will be a good problem solver, able to do math, and have mechanical aptitude. We want people who drive themselves to be the best they can be. You will learn about metal fabricating from the ground up.

Multiple career paths are available including running highly automated machines and welding. Our goal is to make our Entry Level Fabricators into highly effective cross-trained individuals who will become exceptional fabricators and, if desired, qualify to enter GenMet’s sponsored apprenticeship program. GenMet is a fast paced company where every team member holds a valued and responsible position.. GenMet is a results driven organization and we believe "Making Stuff is Cool!"

• Learn to use a variety of measuring tools (calipers, tape measures
• Learn to operate a variety of hand tools (dynafiles, orbitals, grinders.…)
• Learn to operate overhead crane
• Learn to multi task
• Learn to read blue prints
• Learn to operate and set-up automated equipment
• Learn to drive a forklift

Qualifications/Experience

• Must have unquestionable ethics
• Must be able to use computers for all job related information and instructions including blue prints.
• Must have minimum of a high school diploma or GED - 2 year technical Diploma and/or equivalent work experience a PLUS
• Must be proficient in basic math including fractions and decimals.
• Capable of reaching, bending, and good eye, hand, foot coordination are all necessary.
• Must be an energetic self-starter and have a strong sense of urgency; and capable of following tasks through to completion
• Must be self-disciplined, highly organized, goal-oriented
• Must possess the ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail.
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
