Position Overview: The Parking Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for the overall parking and valet operations at the Broadway Plaza mall in Walnut Creek. This position is responsible for service and controls and for the implementation and enforcement of all facility accounting, maintenance, personnel and customer service policies and programs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise all on-site personnel. Provide overall direction and supervision of supervisors, office staff, customer service ambassadors and valets.
  • Review on an on-going basis and staff the location efficiently, prepare and post bi-weekly staffing schedules covering for all scheduled and unscheduled absences and supervise staff to make sure they perform their duties with the utmost professionalism, following PCI’s and Client’s operation and safety guidelines, perform employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Administer and implement new hire and employee training programs.
  • Work with all on-site personnel to improve communications and other social interaction skills.
  • Keep PCI management team apprised of any problems or needed improvements within the facility.
  • Maintain consistent and timely communications with Client’s primary contacts, their management and operation team and employees of other on-site third-party service contractors.
  • Maintain a complete and daily updated maintenance records of the parking access and revenue control system (PARCS). Administer all the necessary preventive maintenance programs using on-site staff and efficiently manage repair costs.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly quarterly and annual operational and financial reports requested by the Client.
  • Complete bank deposits daily. Audit all documents related to all types of revenues and prepare a daily summary of revenue reports and submit to the SF PCI regional office.
  • Maintain monthly accounts (monthly and validations) efficiently: Generate invoices timely, ensure the accuracy of billing vs. collection, enforce collection policies, review rate, and make recommendations, maintain uniform and optimum number of rate codes.
  • Perform daily walk through to assure compliance with safety standards, cleanliness of the parking facilities and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with uniform and employee identification programs.


Job Qualifications

Qualifications / Skills / Requirements:

  • Available to work full-time schedules which may at times include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to be regularly scheduled including one day on weekends preferably Saturdays.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Graduated from a four-year college or equivalent, or two years parking management experience of similar magnitude with a two-year college education or equivalent, or four years parking management experience of similar magnitude with a high school diploma.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Computer literate and adaptive learner in new software applications.
  • Strong grasp of the English language and excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to develop and train work force, build relationships, utilize skills of workforce most appropriately.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in fully automated, large scale parking operations involving several lanes and pay-on-foot stations is a plus.
  • Experience in SKIDATA PARCS is a strong plus.
  • Experience in accounting practices is a plus.
  • Experience in hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Able to drive all types of transmissions and must be able provide DMV printout.
  • Compensation: $75-80k DOE
