The Early Intervention (EI) team provides strength-based, family-centered services for young children under three years of age who have developmental delays or are at risk of a developmental delay. Services are designed to meet the needs of each infant or toddler, and the needs of their family. The EI team provides services in the home/community setting with the goal of enhancing the child’s physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional and adaptive skills.

The EI team provides services in the home/community setting with the goal of enhancing the child’s physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional and adaptive skills.

In this role, you will provide evaluations and assessments, therapeutic interventions and service coordination.
- Able to engage families by sharing their own journey, helping to model collaborative interactions between the family and the variety of relevant individuals in the larger system of support (extended family, friends, other providers, school personnel, and/or state agency representatives).
- Ability to work effectively with community-based resources, referral networks, and public/private systems of care.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with families, colleagues, and community members in a manner that is sensitive to their racial/ethnic/cultural/class backgrounds.
- Demonstrates clear and consistent boundaries.
- Assist in the maintenance of a positive and collaborative working environment where all employees of CHL and enrolled child and their families feel welcome, supported, and comfortable.
- Works to build strong, functional working relationships with enrolled children and their families, and outside agencies.
- Coordinates educational opportunities to enable parents/caregivers of enrolled child to participate in workshops and other available support services.
- Serves as a mentor to parents/caregivers/parent volunteer to improve the ability to effectively advocate for their child.
- Participates as appropriate in meetings, training, workshops, research resources, supervision, and related activities as may be directed by the Lipton Early Intervention Director or Assistant Director.
- Prepares all necessary paperwork, surveys, distribution, data collection, and reports.
- Follow all policies and procedures of the agency.
- All activities described here will be delivered either in-person, virtual and/or the community.
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, clients and visitors.
Performs other related job duties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED/HiSet required.
- Current or former parent of child enrolled in early intervention.
- Understanding of basic computer functions including but not limited to Email, Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
- Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Maintains confidentiality.
