Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial analysis tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable review, bank data tagging, reconciliations, sales tax filings, and more. Your analytical skills and strong attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the financial decision-making process.

Responsibilities:

Daily/Weekly Tasks:

• Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Review accounts receivable and proactively reach out to clients for outstanding payments.
• Tag AMEX card transactions in QuickBooks for proper expense classification.
• Tag bank transactions in QuickBooks to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Classify and record bank deposits by source.
• Prepare and distribute the bi-monthly reports for Customer Accounts as required.

Monthly Tasks:

• Reconcile US and Canada bank accounts.
• Reconcile the AMEX business account after payment is made. Ensure that all receipts are received and matched.
• Conduct a reconciliation of the line of credit account.
• Process royalties to ensure timely payment by the 20th of each month.
• Calculate and communicate sales commissions for payment by the 15th of each month.
• File STATE sales tax returns as required.
• Record sales tax journal entries to reflect payables and bank withdrawals accurately.
• Run sales reports and update the Sales Tracker including prior year comparisons.
• Update the deferred gift card amount on the balance sheet.
• Prepare for and attend monthly P&L and balance sheet review meetings.
• Prepare and schedule monthly forecast by customer review meetings.

Quarterly Tasks:

• File sales tax as required.
• Calculate and process royalties for various affiliates as required.
• Complete Canadian sales tax quarterly filings
• Calculate and process donations for HuggleCauses

Annual Tasks:

• Assist in US year-end tax preparation and filing.
• File sales tax as required.
• Complete Canadian year-end tax forms and handle the filing process.

As Needed Tasks:

• Maintain and update price lists.
• Manage drawbacks, ensuring accurate processing.
• Address and resolve issues between ERP and QB.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis principles and practices.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
