Food Service Worker Job at Southern Foodservice Management
Southern Foodservice Management, a national contract food service provider, is hiring for our dining units at the Fort Knox Army Base. The positions available with rate of $17.00. We are seeking to hire Food Service Workers positions for the Bluegrass Challenge Academy.
Full-time and Part-time positions will be available based on fluctuating scheduling needs with premium wage rates and very competitive benefits (including medical, dental, vision with reasonable employee contributions and many others)!!
Shift hours vary AM Shift: 0530-1300 and PM Shift: 1215-1930 (7 day variable). Time off twice a year during cycle breaks.

(For interviews you must have a military ID card, CAC or a gate pass can be obtained at the Visitor’s Center at the Main Chaffee Gate).
Food Service Worker Responsibilities:
- Perform variety of tasks concerned with preparation and serving of foods and beverages.
- Make coffee, tea and other beverages as needed.
- Serve food on serving lines during meal service.
- Prepare dining and serving areas by setting up counters, stands and tables.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Clean and straighten work area.
- May be assigned and required to perform all other tasks to support meal production, service, breakdown, overall cleanliness of the cafeteria and related work areas, and all other business objectives.
Food Service Worker Duties:
Duties include but not limited to prepping, cooking, and serving meals to Cadets and Cadre, cleaning and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and dishes. Verify, count, and rotate stock on delivery days.
