About the Job:

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all required and requested training and supervision processes established by Family Habilitation supervisor, including the initial orientation to the Family Habilitation Program.
• Keep current on all policies and procedures, implementing them as stated in The Center for Youth and Family Solutions and DCFS manuals.
• Accurately record all activity for billing/credit service purposes. Maintain all official client records by utilizing and completing all required DCFS/The Center for Youth and Family Solutions paperwork.
• Promote and maintain cooperative working relationship with DCFS caseworkers, as well as other community agencies.
• Meet for supervision when requested.
• Work in conjunction with the DCFS caseworker to provide coordinated case treatment.
• Supervise parent/child visitation.
• Assist parents and caregivers in developing the skills necessary to support the management of daily household tasks including teaching/demonstrating parents skills, budgeting, meal planning, health care/hygiene and accessing community resources.
• Establish relationships with individuals and families that maintain and promote their self respect and encourage their independence.
• Conduct assessments and report to professional team members any progress, changes and/or deterioration in the situations of persons served.
• Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences within the client and staff population.
• Provide effective court testimony and interaction with representatives of States Attorneys office and other legal professionals if deemed necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/ GED (Required)
• Completion of DCFS criminal background check (Required)
• Must be 21 years of age, obtain an insured vehicle, clean driving record, and three years driving record with a valid driver's license
