The Houston County Courier newspaper is seeking a front desk clerk on an as-needed basis for the first two months, then four days a week during December and January, with potential to turn into a permanent part time position. The job will involved a full eight days of paid on-the-job training first. Office hours are 8-5 Monday - Thursday. Duties include answering phones and handling walk-in customers. Also involved are learning and using a subscription system, legal notice system, and classified advertising system, along with some financial record keeping. Computer skills, multi-tasking, and excellent interpersonal skills a must.
