Front House Manager Job at Bamboo Teri House
Who we are: Bamboo Teri House is a well-established, small family owned Japanese restaurant in Bixby Knolls that has been in business for almost 40 years. The atmosphere is low stress, and many of our employees have been with us for over 10 years.
Who we are looking for: We are searching for someone that is customer focused, with excellent communication skills, organized, timely in completing projects, technologically adept, and is familiar with networking on social media. Experience in customer service and restaurant experience is required.Food Safety and RBS certification is required within 60 days of hire.
Responsibilities will include overseeing cashier and server duties, ensuring daily opening/closing tasks are completed by staff, work directly with owner to communicate needs to staff and visversa, updating and enforcing policies, ensure customer satisfaction and provide service recovery when needed, hiring and training new staff, management of POS system (we use TOAST) and ensure proper security levels among staff, oversee loss prevention by monitoring sales/void reports, ensuring management of 3rd party delivery apps (Door Dash, Uber Eats), ensure accuracy of menu and pricing, ensure that staff are following sanitation practices and monitor cleanliness, manage social media outlets, advertising/posting promotions, sending email campaigns to customers, oversee front of house schedule, staff training on full service, website management, organize quarterly meetings with front of house staff. Japanese or Spanish speaking a plus. Will need manager to cover gaps in schedule as needed.
Hours: we are very flexible, but would like for our manager to be available to both lunch and dinner shift employees at least weekly. We are looking to fill a part time position. We anticipate that your weekly hours will be around 15-20 hours
Compensation: training rate starts at $15.50/hour, once training is complete (about 4 weeks) the hourly rate will be $18.50/hour; If you are able to demonstrate increase in sales by 10% within first 3 months of hire, the hourly rate will increase to $20.00 per hour. After 1 year you will be evaluated for an increased hourly pay depending on the consistency your performance.
