Join GAP full time NOW and be eligible for a $3,500 incentive bonus (per couple), paid in increments following successful completion of 30 days, 90 days and 180 days.

At GAP, House Parents will provide supervision, structure and assistance in meeting abused/neglected children’s physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs while teaching them life skills. It is a wonderful ministry opportunity to invest in the lives of children and youth by serving foster children in a group home in northwest Tucson, Arizona.

Live-in house parents will provide a safe, Christ-centered temporary home for children in your care. House parents are part of a larger Christ-centered management team with high expectations for biblical character and values focused on creating and modeling these behaviors of love, hope and peace for the children and for all staff.

House Parents will cover weekends to be able to develop strong relationships with the children and to provide an example of family time at church and exploring the community together. You will be able to choose 2 or 3 consecutive days off earlier in the week to refresh and enjoy some personal time.

To impact the lives of children house parents live in a single-family residential home in the foothills of Tucson, AZ. House parents implement positive behavior plans and structure by creating a clean, safe and nurturing living environment. House parents interact with the children in care as a group as well as individually, as the children's needs require, by implementing family meals together, helping with homework, and guiding children through chores to establish life skills. While children are at school, house parents are able to have personal time.

Qualifications:

Successful house parent couples must be/have:

• High school diplomas or GED.
• Valid driver’s licenses in good standing and be at least 22 years old to drive the fifteen-passenger family van.
• Be emotionally able to display warmth and able to enjoy and be comfortable with active, often aggressive and disorganized children in an intimate, integrated living situation.
• Proficient in the use of a personal computer and corresponding programs like Gmail and Google Calendar.
• Some breeds of dogs and cats are permitted on an individual basis.
