This position is for 1st shift; 7:00am-3:30pm.

The General Warehouse associate performs a wide variety of stocking and packing duties. This role is also responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reads pick sheet or computer terminal to determine items and quantities to be selected.
  • Pulls/pushes cart for use in collecting order components.
  • Selects product from appropriate location and places on cart.
  • Verifies correct product(s) and quantity of each item are present.
  • Seals cartons either manually or utilizing box sealer tape machine.
  • Operates electronic scanning equipment.
  • Restocks picking locations with returned product.
  • Properly replenishes an assigned area (A frame only).
  • May be required to assemble kits.
  • Follows safety rules, SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Regularly lifting up to 40 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 70 pounds with assistance.
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish).

EXPERIENCE:
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior manufacturing or warehousing experience preferred.

SKILLS:
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information to other associates.
    • Ability to count, add and subtract.
    • Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
    • Ability to deal with issues in standardized situations.
