Grant Accountant Job at Community Health Centers
Community Health Centers is seeking a part time (24 hours per week) Grant Accountant. This role provides fiscal support on grants and contracts for Community Health Centers and supports the Controller, program leaders and staff with financial oversight. Responsible for ensuring the appropriate use and accurate reporting of all financial transactions on grants and contracts.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
A) Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounting
- Demonstrated experience in federal & state grants management is required
B) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in federal & state grants management is required
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP)
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and reconcile financial data and report results with extensive accuracy. Intermediate knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables) & Power Point presentations
- Knowledge of federal & state grants management procedure
- Ability to work independently and set priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Ability to follow timelines and scheduled deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
