HOTEL MANAGER
Job Overview

The Hotel Manager position oversees all Hotel and Food & Beverage operations.
Critical areas of focus will be:
■ Creating a memorable, and unique experience for our guests in alignment with the Hotel Jackson brand and Forbes service standards.
■ Facilitating excellent communication between all hotel departments to ensure the guest experience is seamless.
■ Setting expectations with department heads and holding the team accountable for achieving determined goals.
■ Ensuring all concierge/front desk communication is prompt, professional, accurate and facilitates a smooth guest experience.
■ Ensuring the facilities meet the absolute highest standards and that they are consistently presented day- to-day.
■ Adhere to budgets as designated.
■ Inventory management associated with the hotel and restaurant operations.
Essential Job Functions
Hospitality and Guest Service Standards
■ Culture – Responsible for setting the tone/culture for all hotel employees. Team should be positive, helpful, authentic, knowledgeable, fun, professional and highly responsive. A well curated team is critical to the first impression of our property.
■ Establish and enforce guest service standards across all hotel touch points – both guest facing and back of house.
Hotel Operations Management
■ Housekeeping Management. Act as the direct report for the Housekeeping Manager. Oversee budgets, ordering, and inventory management. Ensure housekeeping standards meet the highest of standards in all public spaces and the hotel suites. Also ensure all back-of-house areas are well organized and maintained.
■ Front Desk/Concierge Management – Work with the Front Office Management team to oversee hiring, training, coaching, dress code enforcement, and all service standards at the front desk. Establish and enforce all necessary SOP’s to effectively run this department, while upholding the highest hospitality standards.
■ Inter-Department Communication – Work with the administrative support team to ensure the hotel operations are aligned with sales, finance, HR, and marketing initiatives.
■ Budgets – Manage budgets per guidelines established by the GM and Financial Controller.
■ Be a Team Player – Lend support to various departments and employees as needed from time to time.
Food & Beverage Management
■ Work with both front and back of house managers to ensure that FIGS restaurant is operating at a Forbes 5-star level in service and execution.
■ Oversee inventory management and and menu costing to achieve budgetary goals for cost of goods sold.
■ Work with management team to certify that all staff are continually trained accountable for Forbes service standards.
Policies and Performance Standards
Leadership Role - As a key member of the leadership team the Hotel Manager is expected to lead by example as it relates to work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Ownership - This position assumes ownership of the Hotel operations, meaning in the event of a sick employee, or unusual events, this position will assume responsibility for resolving the presented needs of the department.
Skills - In this role it is expected you will demonstrate a high-degree of professionalism as it relates to administrative work, communication skills, accountability, time management, organizational and planning skills, employee relations management, discipline, accountability, knowledge, and the ability to exercise good judgement. This includes managing your schedule and time based on the perceived needs of the business and your department.
Employee Handbook - The Hotel Manager must be intimately familiar with the policies set forth in the Employee Handbook, and is responsible for enforcing the said guidelines among reporting employees.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
