What You Will Be Doing

As a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor, you will direct and work with your staff to ensure property guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and well maintained. You will complete inspections and hold people accountable for their assigned tasks, delivering corrective actions if needed.

Your specific duties in this role will include:

  • Inspecting guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after they are cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards
  • Running sold room reports, verifying room status, determining discrepant rooms, prioritizing room cleaning, and updating status of departing guest rooms
  • Documenting and resolving issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk
  • Preparing, distributing, and communicating changes in assignment sheets/workboards
  • Communicating issues to next shift
  • Completing required paperwork
  • Assisting management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
  • You must be able to pass a thorough background check.
  • Weekends, Evenings and Holidays are required.

Job Requirements

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with solid customer service skills and a focus on team work. Since you will be supervising a team, excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills are expected. You should also be able to manage your time effectively and delegate tasks according to the situation at hand.

Additional requirements for the Hotel Housekeeping Manager include:

  • 2 years of experience in the housekeeping or related professional area
  • Ability to manage / supervise a staff
  • Ability to work as part of a team and complete tasks individually
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment
