Our main office is located in the heart of downtown Chaska, MN and has the wholesomeness of a rural community but the energy of an urban highrise. Things are never the same day to day, and those who want to engage our environment need to be passionate about centering all their goals around our participants. It is for them that we are dedicated to creating a safe space.
We are seeking a Housing Coordinator to provide weekly support to young adults (ages 18-29) living in independent apartments. The successful candidate will be able to coach and encourage program participants, navigate crisis well, have a high capacity for clear communication, and be comfortable working in a multicultural collectivist environment. The position requires excellent time management, the ability to work independently and a willingness to learn new skills.
This is a part-time virtual position (10-15 hours/week).
Responsibilities:
- Engage in weekly meetings with program participants, addressing such needs as lease signings, landlord engagement, paying bills, reviewing county communication, scheduling appointments, and mental health referrals.
- Support new participants in onboarding to the program.
- Ensure all participants maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Document meetings and engagements with participants with clear case notes.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in any social service related field or 1 year experience working with unsheltered population (preferred).
- Candidates must be able to pass a State of MN DHS background check.
- Candidates from underrepresented backgrounds and/or those with lived experience of homelessness strongly encouraged to apply.
Hiring Process:
- Potential candidates will be invited to complete a phone screening interview.
- Candidates will then be inivted to a formal virtural interview with housing program manager.
- Upon hiring, Candidates will be invited to a 3 month probationary periord where they will shadow current Launch employees and be paid a training rate of $10/hour.
- Once 95% proficient in the job tasks employee will be paid $15/hour.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
