Job Summary:

The Recruiter will serve as the point of contact for all recruiting activity in the Oneida Health Circle of Care. This position reports to Human Resources and supports all recruiting, on-boarding, and off-boarding activities. The Recruiter coordinates the processes and procedures associated with supporting the centralized recruitment function with respect to sourcing, screening and onboarding. The position reports to the VP of Human Resources, and works closely with all other company department heads. Supports HR department in other activities as needed.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
  • Research for job fairs, job seminars and involve in cold calling, referral recruiting
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes
  • Check the background of candidates followed by employment reference checking
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to schedule interviews
  • Collaborates with Employee Health and the HR Manager during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent pre-employment details
  • Be aware of the healthcare job market trends
  • Assists in the off-boarding process through exit interviewing, paperwork, and guiding employees through the off-boarding process
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
  • Check-in with the new-hire throughout their first week of employment and then throughout their first month to ensure that the new-hire understands what is expected of them at their new position
  • Assists with other HR activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • Five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
