JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resource Administrator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role interacts with employees daily assisting with general HR questions and HR systems issues. The Human Resource Administrator assists in employee communication and ensuring all employees have access to all general communication. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Audits time clock system and works with managers and supervisors to update.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the VP of HR.
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files.
- Prepares new hire folders new-employee files.
- Maintains and updates company job descriptions.
- Assists HR Manager in processing payroll
- Complete background checks for new hires
- Stay interview data collection
- Compile HR communications
- Coordinate annual compliance training
- Assists in organizing employee events.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 3+ years of work experience in Human Resources
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
