ALPENA PUBLIC SCHOOLS is accepting applications for a TEMPORARY HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT. (20-40 Hours/Week)
You will be assisting the Director of Human Resources, Human Resources Specialist and Generalist in all functions of the Human Resources Department including but not limited to new employee hiring and orientation, recuitment and staffing, records management, and governmental reporting. Perform duties requiring knowledge of school, federal and state employment laws and regulations, as well as school laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HR Background prefered
- High caliber office management skills.
- High level of competency in using technology, including MS Office, uploading and downloading of files, and organizing data files.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated knowledge of grammar and punctuation.
- Highest level of confidentiality.
- Training will be provided on software systems and other specific aspects as deemed necessary.
- Regular and reliable attendance mandatory.
- Warm and friendly manner.
- School K-12 experience a plus.
